My favourite town in this direction was Camogli where we stopped for lunch. A fishing village for centuries, we had fabulous seafood by the boats…
…accompanied by a glass of wine!
Camogli is known for its colourful seafront buildings. This is not just to be picturesque, it actually has a practical purpose. It helped the fishermen identify their homes from the sea. I’m not sure what else was happening on the boats that made it difficult for the guys to find their way home…
This young fellow is carrying on Camogli’s centuries-old fishing tradition. He pulled out these tiny fish within seconds of dropping in his line. He put them in a plastic grocery bag and went on repeat. The bag was flipping around beside him and it wasn’t because of the wind.
