Harrison Lake
An overnight jaunt to Harrison Lake. Our first time and we unknowingly timed our visit with their annual music festival. Great hiking out here! Campbell Lake Trail was challenging and Sandy Cove/Whippoorwill Trail was much more relaxing. Glad we hiked in that order!
The beginning of Campbell Lake Trail. Lots of scrambling over rocks.
The bushwhacking portion.
Not the prow of a ship abandoned in the mountains, but a really big rock.
Apparently climbing the mountain is not enough for some...
Love is everywhere!
Campbell Lake. Who's going to take a walk out on this log?
This is where the real hot springs surface. You can see the steam and smell the sulphur. Too bad they remove some of the natural minerals and add chlorine in the pools for bathers...ends up being like a bunch of hot tubs.
Me and my guy.
Me and my girl.
Me and my other guy blocking the view of Harrison Lake.
Sandy Cove.
Do I trust him not to push me in? If he does, he's coming in with me!
A bit of a dodgy crossing. Trust me, it was higher than it looks...and that wobbly little railing only went halfway across.
Siblings in the trees...missing # 3!
Classic Canadian lakescape.
